Creating a successful playground for physical activity
Architect's need to consider many aspects when designing a playground.
- Where will the playground be located?
- What are children's interests?
- What will make the space enjoyable?
- What are the different abilities of children who will be using the space?
- What equipment will encourage body movement and physical activity?
- What are the risks of equipment?
- What materials should be used to ensure the equipment works?
- What materials should be used to ensure children's safety when using equipment?
School playgrounds are a fantastic way to encourage children to engage in regular physical activity and improve our schools students health and wellbeing.
